    1759  CEWilliam Wilberforce (1759-1833), the British politician, evangelist, and philanthropist, was born in Hull in England.
    1780  CEWilliam Wilberforce became an MP.
    1788  CEWilliam Wilberforce began the movement which resulted in the abolition of the slave trade in the British West Indies in 1807.
    1825  CEWilliam Wilberforce, due to declining health, retired from parliament.
 29 Jul 1833  CEWilliam Wilberforce, died in London, one month before the passing of the Slavery Abolition Act.
